Jiashan, a county in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, recently secured 14 projects with a total investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.55 billion) at a promotional meeting held in Shanghai, local media reported.

These projects involve chip design, packaging, testing, semiconductor materials, and equipment.

As one of the project investors, Zhejiang Hesilicon Integrated Circuit Co decided to establish an advanced packaging production base with an expected annual production value of more than 1 billion yuan in Jiashan.

The integrated circuit (IC) industry is one of the important industries in Jiashan and the county has established a fund of 10 billion yuan and formulated industrial policies to support the industry's development.

Jiashan is currently home to more than 60 leading IC companies and an industrial chain featuring chip design, packaging, testing, and semiconductor equipment manufacturing has gradually taken shape in the county.
