Jiaxing aims to attract more high-level professionals

The eighth Jiaxing International Talent Exchange and Cooperation Conference was held in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province on May 23 to attract more high-level professionals, local media reported.

Pei Hao, founder of Mozhuo Biotech (Zhejiang) Co Ltd, was invited to share his entrepreneurial story in Jiaxing at the launch ceremony.

Pei said that Mozhuo Biotech (Zhejiang) Co Ltd has received efficient and considerate service from the Jiaxing municipal government from the very beginning, including those related to project application and preferential policies for talents.

An innovation and entrepreneurship competition was launched at the ceremony for projects involving digital economy, high-end equipment, new materials, energy conservation, environmental protection, as well as life sciences and health.

Winners of the competition will receive a subsidy of up to 10 million yuan ($1.56 million).

The conference also published 1,440 jobs for Jiaxing's 114 institutes, universities, and companies. These jobs, 41 percent of which offer an annual salary of over 300,000 yuan, are in the digital economy, new materials, equipment manufacturing, and biological medicine sectors.

In addition, 46 post-doctoral research centers in Jiaxing also released 129 jobs for professionals in strategic emerging industries like high polymer materials, bio-pharmaceuticals, big data, and smart manufacturing, 25 percent of which offer an annual salary of more than 500,000 yuan.

The annual conference has invited more than 1,500 high-level professionals to visit Jiaxing and introduced more than 300 projects for the city.

On a recent list of cities that are most attractive to professionals, Jiaxing was ranked 22nd in the country and third in Zhejiang.
