Jiaxing dispatches 20,000 policemen to help 62,000 residents

More than 20,000 police officers in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province helped transfer over 62,000 local residents to safer places before Typhoon In-Fa landed in Zhejiang on July 25, local media reported.

The Jiaxing municipal public security bureau has dispatched 165 teams to respond to the call from local residents, as well as arranged 1,000 patrolmen during the day and 500 patrolmen at night to aid typhoon preparedness efforts.

In addition, all public parking lots and parking spots in Jiaxing are opened free to local residents until the end of the city's emergency response to Typhoon In-Fa.

As of July 25, there were 2,269 free parking spots in Nanhu district and 8,698 free parking spots in Xiuzhou district. Other districts and counties in the city will also publish information on their free parking spots soon.
