The Jiaxing Cross-border E-commerce Talent Competition, an important part of the city's training activities for such talents, wrapped up on Oct 12.
Starting in March, the competition has organized nine training activities for cross-border e-commerce in local universities and invited senior experts to share their experience. These activities attracted 2,100 students.
The three-month competition has published 681 jobs for 41 local companies and finally, 235 applicants take an internship in Jiaxing's companies.
Twelve participants reached the finals and they were required to present what they have learnt from the preliminary trainings and internship experience and answer questions from judges.
Cross-border e-commerce has entered a rapid development period and talent shortage has always been the problem encountered by the industry.
Ni Huping, deputy secretary general of Jiaxing municipal government, said that Jiaxing needs to accelerate the introduction and cultivation of cross-border e-commerce professionals to support its development in the city.
