Residents in the village of Qicheng, in Fengqiao town, Jiaxing have recently used some old tires to beautify their village.

They decorated the tires with paintings of various animals and placed them in different areas around the village so that locals could pose next to them for photographs.

The initiative was also designed to raise local awareness of the environment and the importance of recycling waste.
