A photography team consisting of rural women in Wangdian town, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, is the first of its kind in Zhejiang.
Founded in 2008, the photography team, which was inspired by the previous Jianlin village photography team, has expanded from 49 members to more than 100 over the past 14 years.
"When I have a camera in hand, I tend to forget how old I am," said 69-year-old Shen Xiaomao, the oldest member of the team, who's words echo the thoughts of many fellow photographers in Wangdian.

Du Yinzhu, 46, is the most active member of the photography team. Although she is busy running a workshop to process wool sweaters, she still participates in every photography activity.
Du's efforts have paid off. Her photo of a misty rural area in the morning has earned her awards in municipal and provincial-level competitions. The photo was captured after days of effort.
"Maybe I seem weird, but I feel so happy and it feels so great when I get a good shot," said Du.
Currently, more than 300 photos taken by members of the photography team in Wangdian have won awards in national and provincial competitions, and the team itself has also won an honorary title from the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
The photography team has also received support from the local government, which has invited renowned photographers to give lectures on photography, photo retouching, and video recording to team members.
