A total of 23.64 billion yuan ($3.71 billion) is expected to be invested in 187 service industry projects in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, this year, according to local authorities.

These projects have a total investment of 161.97 billion yuan, each of whose designed annual investment amounts to 126 million yuan on average this year, a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent and nine of whose designed annual investment exceed 500 million yuan.

Among them, 28 projects involve modern logistics sector with a total investment of 20.17 billion yuan, 32 from scientific and technological information and culture and tourism sectors respectively with a combined investment of 78.78 billion yuan, and 18 about supporting facilities with a total investment of 14.62 billion yuan.

Constriction of 61 of the projects with a total investment of 43.74 billion yuan starts this year while construction of 12 of the projects with a gross investment of 4.52 billion yuan will be completed this year.
