In 2021, Jiaxing's artificial intelligence (AI) industry's added value expanded 16.7 percent year-on-year to 19.2 billion yuan ($3.01 billion), accounting for 23.04 percent of Zhejiang's total and ranking second in the province.

The city's AI industry involves smart cars, smart equipment, robots, smart security, smart home and industrial intelligent applications. In the fields of smart home and smart connected vehicle applications, a number of growing enterprises are springing up.

Recently, six projects being carried out by Jiaxing enterprises which focus on manufacturing, home furnishing and security were included on the list of 2021 Zhejiang typical application scenarios and excellent AI solutions, according to the Jiaxing economic and information technology bureau.

To support the industry's development, the city has implemented several policies to boost the AI industry and invested 148.5 billion yuan in 4,392 intelligent technology renovation projects.

In the future, the city will continue to promote the intelligent and technological transformation of industrial enterprises, accelerate the introduction and training of high-level AI talent and cultivate AI high-tech enterprises.
