The new nucleic acid extraction machine can process 192 samples at a time in as little as 12 minutes.
The machine utilizes nano-magnetic bead technology, said Shen Jianfeng, operation director of Jiaxing Emerther Science and Technology Co Ltd.
The multi-functional automatic nucleic acid extraction machine produced by the company has built-in dual magnetic heads. It is able to work on twice the number of samples simultaneously as traditional extraction machines.
In addition, the company has developed more than 40 kinds of nucleic acid extraction reagents that cover all sample types to improve the accuracy of nucleic acid testing.
The company currently supplies 800,000 nucleic acid extraction reagents every day in China. The reagents are also sold overseas in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
So far, the company has obtained more than 10 domestic and international patent certificates and 16 Chinese medical device registration certificates.
To satisfy the increasing demand for nucleic acid extraction reagents, a new factory is under construction in the Jiashan Science Park. The company is expected to produce one million nucleic acid extraction reagents per day in the second half of the year.
