The output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Dama town, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, amounted to 1.06 billion yuan ($160.14 million) in the first quarter of 2022, up 4.5 percent year-on-year, according to local media reports.

Specifically, the output value of industrial enterprises above designated size in the home textile industry totaled 991 million yuan, an uptick of 4.1 percent year-on-year.

The home textile industry is the pillar industry of Dama town, and the number of home textile enterprises above designated size accounts for more than 90 percent.

Tongxiang Huaqiang Fabric Weaving Co Ltd, located in the Yiyuan Industrial Park in Dama town, achieved an output value of nearly 50 million yuan in the first quarter of this year, a year-on-year growth of more than 10 percent.

The company has developed more than 10 new sofa fabrics based on the preferences of European and American markets, which include simple and solid colors, in the first quarter. The sales of new products accounted for more than 50 percent of the company's total and were the main driving force behind the development of the company against the ongoing pandemic, said Xu Ying, deputy general manager of the company.
