Zhejiang launches measures to stabilize tourism market

Authorities in East China's Zhejiang province recently released 12 policies to address COVID-19 induces difficulties for cultural and tourism companies.
Covering mainly four areas, the policies seek to promote the investment and construction of cultural and tourism projects, rekindle the cultural and tourism consumer market, strengthen financial support for cultural and tourism enterprises and improve public services in the tourism industry.
According to the measures, Zhejiang will issue tourism consumption coupons worth more than 100 million yuan ($14.93 million), encouraging more people to travel in the next few months. A special tourism fund of 10 million yuan has been set aside to reward travel agencies that organize tourist groups from other provinces to travel in Zhejiang.
Meanwhile, a slew of tourism activities and events, including the Zhejiang Summer Cultural and Tourism Consumption Season will be held, the Zhejiang Landscape Tourism Festival and the China Yiwu Cultural and Tourism Products Trade Fair will be held from June through August.
