The opening ceremony of the 2022 Jiaxing Cultural Industry Expo was held on Aug 5 at the Jiaxing International Convention and Exhibition Center in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province.

It will run for three days.

Nearly 1,000 kinds of special cultural products at 22 exhibition booths belonging to the likes of Jiaxing, Huzhou and Lishui are being exhibited during the expo, and a cultural and creative market has opened.

Each exhibition booth has its own theme and is divided into performance area, exhibition area, interactive area, and livestreaming area, focusing on the high-quality development of cultural industries in Jiaxing and the Yangtze River Delta region.

In addition, a book fair is being held at the expo. More than 80 well-known domestic publishing houses have participated in the fair, and nearly 100,000 volumes of high-quality books are on display.

In recent years, Jiaxing has been promoting the construction of a cultural civilization hub in the new era and its cultural industry is flourishing.

In the past year, 1,611 cultural units and 81 cultural units above designated size were established, and one cultural enterprise went public on the main board. The total output value of cultural units above designated size reached 79.6 billion yuan ($11.78 billion), a year-on-year increase of 21.1 percent. Industrial investment totaled 19.6 billion yuan.
