Haining among top 10 counties in per capita disposable income

Haining county in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province ranked 8th on the 2021 list of the top 10 counties in per capita disposable income, according to official data.

The top 10 counties on the list were Yiwu, Yuhuan, Kunshan, Jiangyin, Taicang, Zhangjiagang, Changshu, Haining, Zhuji and Cixi.

In 2021, the annual per capita disposable income of permanent urban residents in Haining was 73,003 yuan ($10,857.36), an increase of 8.2 percent over the previous year, while the figure of permanent rural residents was 45,415 yuan, up 10.4 percent over the previous year.

In the past year, the GDP of Haining reached 119.63 billion yuan, increasing 7 percent over the previous year based on comparable prices.

In addition, the county has set a goal for the development of the manufacturing industry for the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-25). The output value of the fashion industry is expected to reach 100 billion yuan, the output values of the pan-semiconductor, high-end equipment, photovoltaic new energy and new materials industries are expected to reach 50 billion yuan each, and the output values of the medicine and health and aerospace industries are expected to reach 10 billion yuan each.
