The results of the 2021 business environment evaluation of Zhejiang province were recently unveiled, and Jiaxing ranked 2nd in the province, local media reported on Sept 22.

Located at the geographical center of the Yangtze River Delta, Jiaxing connects Shanghai and Hangzhou, helping it attract a lot of investment.

In 2021, Jiaxing introduced 73 new industrial projects costing $100 million each, and the actual utilization of foreign capital was valued at $3.04 billion.

Meanwhile, the total number of talents in the city has exceeded 1.23 million, and more than 310,000 college students have been introduced in the past three years. 

This year, Jiaxing has been working to simplify administrative approval processes to facilitate commercial registration, stimulating the development of market entities. Today, one can simply use an ID card to complete registering a company at a service window in two hours.

As of the end of August, there were 690,176 market entities in the city, a year-on-year increase of 6.85 percent.
