Recently, advertisements for the Haiyan Grape were posted on a high-speed train sponsored by Zhejiang Provincial Geographical Indication Agricultural Products to improve its brand awareness in China.

The special train passes through 1,337 stations in China, covering the Yangtze River Delta region and important cities such as Beijing, Xi'an and Shenzhen.

With the wide coverage and strong exposure of high-speed rail media, more people will become aware of the Haiyan Grape, and the grape will establish a foothold in the mass consumer market, said an official of the Haiyan agriculture and rural affairs bureau.

In recent years, the grape industry has become important to realizing common prosperity in Haiyan county.

In 2021, the output value of the Haiyan grape reached nearly 400 million yuan ($27.47 million), bringing the output value of the county's second and third industries to 1.8 billion yuan, creating 12,000 jobs, and increasing the average household income by 90,000 yuan.

This year, the Haiyan Grape was shortlisted for the national geographic indication agricultural product protection project. The grape's planting area in the county was 21,000 mu (1,400 hectares), accounting for 65.6 percent of the county's total fruit planting area.
