Two companies – Double Arrow Rubber and Satellite Chemical - in Jiaxing were recently listed among China's seventh batch of manufacturing enterprises with the highest shares in their niche markets in the nation, bringing the total number of such companies in the city to 14.

Located in Zhouquan town, Tongxiang, a county-level city in Jiaxing, Double Arrow Rubber is a leading rubber conveyor belt manufacturer in China.

Zhang Jie, an engineer at the company, said that they are working to develop a chip-embedded conveyor belt capable of offering users information on itself by teaming with universities such as Qingdao University of Science and Technology and China Jiliang University.

In the next three years, it plans to spend 200 million yuan ($30.77 million) on scientific research and focus on improving the overall delivery efficiency of bulk materials, with the ultimate goal of transforming itself from a product provider to a solutions provider, according to Lang Hongfeng, deputy general manager at Double Arrow Rubber.

The company achieved anti-recession growth of 20 percent in sales in the first three quarters of this year.
