As an integral part of the 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, the 2022 Light of Internet Expo opened in Wuzhen, an ancient town in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on Nov 8.

The expo, which is being held both onsite and online, attracted 400-plus exhibitors including 76 foreign companies from 40 countries and regions, according to the organizers.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the expo's onsite exhibition area has been scaled down to 20,000 square meters. It focuses more on online communication and virtual interaction than previous editions, according to He Qihao, director of the digital economy section of the Tongxiang bureau of economy and information technology.

The expo also features an online job fair, which is expected to have more than 10,000 companies and institutions in the digital economy field offering over 13,000 jobs.

Expo-goers can also shop with digital yuan wallets at the venue.

The 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit is scheduled to take place in Wenzhen a day after the expo.

Titled "Toward a Shared Digital Future in a Connected World — Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace", the summit will present the latest achievements in the internet industry and demonstrate the comprehensive application of high technologies.
