LONGi's photovoltaic project in Xiuzhou put into operation

LONGi's 14-gigawatt single crystal module project, which received a total of 6 billion yuan ($871 million) in investment, was put into operation in Wangdian town, Xiuzhou district, Jiaxing, on Dec 26, according to local media reports.

After the project reaches full capacity, its annual output value is expected to exceed 21 billion yuan, and its output value in the first quarter of 2023 is expected to achieve 450 million yuan.

LONGi is a world-leading solar technology company that supplied more than 69.96 GW of monocrystalline silicon wafers and 38.96 GW of monocrystalline silicon modules in 2021.

This project is expected to invigorate the development of the photovoltaic industry in Xiuzhou distrct.

In recent years, Xiuzhou district has been focusing on the construction of a photovoltaic science and technology city. The district has built an entire photovoltaic industrial chain including battery sheets, photovoltaic glass, supporting products, modules, energy storage and intelligent manufacturing.

From January to November, the output value of the photovoltaic new energy industry in Xiuzhou district reached 27.4 billion yuan, a surge of 73.7 year-on-year.
