A groundbreaking ceremony for 21 projects was held on Feb 21 in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province.

The 21 projects received a total of 35.3 billion yuan ($5.11 billion) in investment.

With a total investment of 7.8 billion yuan, Jiaxing Haining Astron Energy's efficient solar cells and modules project is expected to achieve an annual output of 23 billion yuan.

It will contribute to the development of the photovoltaic industry in Jiaxing, improve industrial competitiveness, and aid the city's green and low-carbon transformation.
