Last year, 227 million express deliveries were made from Haining, a county-level city of Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province, to all parts of the country.

Express delivery items from the city included leather products, flowers and integrated stoves.

This surge in express delivery can be attributed to the city's booming livestream industry.

For example, in the first 10 days of this year, the livestream base of Haining Leather City carried out more than 5,000 livestreams with more than 500 million yuan ($72.04 million) in sales. The orders were delivered to customers through express logistics.

In addition, there were more than 1,200 young people in Tianming village engaged in the flower industry and e-commerce. Most flowers were sold online. Express delivery has linked the flower planting base with the sales market.

There are currently 26 express enterprises in the city, and the revenue of express business reached 2.06 billion yuan last year.

In the following year, the city will focus on improving express services, including by creating 10-minute express service circles for towns and sub-districts, meaning residents in towns and sub-districts will be able to access express services within a 10-minute walk.
