The cooperation framework agreement of the Sino-Malaysia Silk Road School was signed at the Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, on March 22.
The Sino-Malaysia Silk Road School was co-built by the Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College, UNITAR International University and Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Co Ltd.
Wang Xuegen, principal of the Jiaxing Nanyang Vocational and Technical College, said that the construction of the Sino-Malaysia Silk Road School was in response to the Belt and Road Initiative.
The school can better enable local institutions in Malaysia to learn from Chinese vocational education and cultivate excellent professionals with an international perspective for Malaysian enterprises, said Tan Sri Sahol Hamid bin Abu Bakar, chancellor of UNITAR International University.
Meanwhile, Zhejiang Jingxing Paper Co Ltd will provide opportunities for students in terms of practice, training, internship and employment via the cooperation platform.
In addition, the unveiling ceremony for the Sino-Malaysia Silk Road School, Student Overseas Internship Base and International Student Enrollment Base was held on the same day.
