Jiaxing accelerates development of new energy industries
The Clean Energy Expo China 2023 was recently held in Beijing. Many new energy industry companies from Jiaxing, such as Longji Leye and Chint Solar, participated in the exhibition.
New energy helps promote industrial transformation and upgrading and green development.
According to this year's government work report, Jiaxing will strive to cultivate and expand its photovoltaic industry clusters, hoping to achieve 300 billion yuan ($43.6 billion) in annual intelligent photovoltaic output by 2027.
In 2022, the city's above-designated-size industrial enterprises in the photovoltaic industry achieved 81.57 billion yuan in output, a year-on-year growth of 50.5 percent and accounting for one-third of the total provincial output of the photovoltaic industry.
There are currently 27 photovoltaic industrial projects under construction or planned in the city with a total planned investment of 83.6 billion yuan. After reaching production capacity, they are expected to increase output by 206 billion yuan.
In addition, nearly 40 hydrogen energy companies involved in hydrogen production, purification, storage, transportation, hydrogenation station construction and vehicle production currently operate in the city, forming a relatively complete hydrogen energy industrial development ecosystem.
