Cooperation and exchange activities between the Chinese and South Korean governments were held in Jiaxing on March 30 to 31.

More than 50 attendees, including 10 representatives of South Korea's provincial-level government offices in Shanghai, representatives of South-Korean-funded enterprises in Jiaxing, and representatives of Jiaxing departments, universities and platforms, participated in the event.

The event aimed to promote cooperation between Jiaxing and various cities in South Korea in fields such as R&D design, cross-border e-commerce, international logistics, finance and insurance, and major projects.

At the meeting held on March 30, both sides talked about their resources and promoted international investment and trade, education, scientific and technological innovation, culture and tourism.

During the event, the delegation from South Korea visited Meiwai Street in Jiaxing and Nanbei Lake Jinjiu Shelter in Haiyan for international cultural exchange. They also visited export-oriented companies like Hankook Tire Co Ltd and EP Yaying Fashion Group.

Jiaxing is an important South Korean investment destination in China and the largest investment hub for South Korean enterprises in Zhejiang province. Since the introduction of the first South-Korean-funded enterprise in December 1993, a total of 391 South Korean enterprises have been established in Jiaxing, mainly involving in manufacturing, automobile tires and chemical products.
