Hannover Messe, the world's largest industrial technology fair, kicked off on April 17 in Germany.

This year's fair focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning, carbon neutrality and energy supply, hydrogen and fuel cells.

A total of 20 enterprises from Jiaxing, Zhejiang province participated in the fair, showcasing products such as bearings, precision machinery, logistics machinery, auto parts and industrial robots. Among them, 57.1 percent of exhibitors were bearing enterprises and 23.8 percent were machinery manufacturing enterprises.

The fastener industry is one of Jiaxing's pillar industries. Its fastener industrial chain involves more than 1,200 enterprises, and the city's fastener output accounts for about 15 percent of the national total and about 10 percent of the global total. The city's fastener exports account for about 25 percent of the national total.

In 2022, enterprises based in Jiaxing exported 130 million yuan ($18.87 million) in goods at the fair, including fasteners, metal bearings, tool boxes and other industrial supporting products.

Zhejiang Kintowe Engineering Plastic Co Ltd was one of the exhibitors at the fair involved in machinery manufacturing. The company hopes to expand its exports by participating in key international exhibitions.

Jiaxing's manufacturing costs are lower than those in Europe, which gives it a price advantage, said Zhu Yajing, the company's foreign trade manager, referring to the competitiveness of the company's products.
