Mingyang Smart Energy Co Ltd recently produced the world's largest onshore wind turbine blade, known as MySE216, which has a length of 216 meters, according to local media reports.
The wind turbine blade is a core component of wind turbine equipment.
Tongxiang manufacturers contributed to the production of the wind turbine blade, including E8 high-performance glass fiber from China Jushi Group Co Ltd, E8 ultra-high modulus fabric from Zhejiang Hengshi Fiber Foundation Co Ltd, and E8 ultra-high modulus glass fiber pultrusion plates from Huafeng (Zhejiang) Carbon Fiber Material Co Ltd.
The E8 high-performance glass fiber boasts impressive strength, high modulus, and weather resistance, making wind turbines more resistant to wind, sand and cold. The E8 ultra-high modulus products allowed the wind blades to be larger and lighter.
The unit consisting of MySE216 wind turbine blades can generate over 30 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy per year, enough to provide electricity to 20,000 three-person households for one year. It can also save about 10,000 metric tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 25,000 tons per year.
