The opening ceremony for the 2023 "Jiaxing Talent Day" was held on May 18 along Donghu Lake in Pinghu, a county-level city of Jiaxing in East China's Zhejiang province.

In 2018, Jiaxing held a series of talent day activities to pay tribute to talent in the name of the city, and May 18 has been designated "Jiaxing Talent Day".

During the opening ceremony, Jiaxing released "10 practical things" for serving talent, including beneficial policies, entrepreneurship support, medical security and sports and fitness, showing the city's eagerness to attract talent.

On the same day, the first Rowing Invitational Competition kicked off on Donghu Lake.

A total of 17 rowing teams from all over the country attended the Rowing Invitational Competition.

Ning Meng, captain of the rowing team of Tsinghua Wudaokou School of Finance, who came to Jiaxing from Shanghai, was struck by how well Jiaxing treated its talent.

Ning said, "There are many financial professionals investing in Jiaxing. We also hope that the competition helps us communicate with each other and gives us more platforms for cooperation."
