Plymouth city is located in Devon, southwest of England, in the center of Plymouth Bay, with an area of 79.83 square kilometers and a population of about 250,000.

It is the largest city on the southwest coast of England and an important naval base, as well as one of the largest and most spectacular natural ports in the world.

Plymouth's economy is focused on fishing and military and is seeing diversified development, including in the electronics, health care, advanced engineering, catering and shipbuilding industries.

The University of Plymouth has been named one of the best universities in the UK by the Sunday Times magazine and The Guardian.
