A series of achievements in Zhejiang province's cultural industry are on display at the ongoing 19th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), which opened in Shenzhen, Guangdong province on June 7.

Among them is Haining Yanguan Music Town, an example of integrating culture and tourism in the province.

Yanguan town in Haining, a county-level city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang province, is a famous historical and cultural town and a great place to watch the tide of the Qiantang River.

The core scenic area of Yanguan Music Town has received 10.5 billion yuan ($1.47 billion) in investment and includes four areas: the ancient city scenic area, music style resort area, public tide-watching area and reception service area.

After the completion of the music town, it is expected to receive 6 million tourists annually. It will strive to be a iconic destination for ancient city tourism in China and become a new model for the protection of ancient cities in China, turning itself into a national tourism resort or national 5A-level scenic spot.
