The 2023 Hong Kong & Macao-Zhejiang Week kicked off in Hong Kong on June 26.

Jiaxing was one of the five cities in Zhejiang province to participate in the event.

During the opening ceremony of the event and the Zhejiang-Hong Kong Cooperation Forum, the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government signed an agreement to jointly promote high-quality development cooperation.

Jiaxing signed agreements for a total of four projects during the event. Among them, an agreement for a headquarters base project for the intelligent manufacturing of energy storage batteries with a total investment of 5.1 billion yuan ($704.65 million) was signed on-site at the main venue. It ranks second in the province in terms of scale.

In addition, there were signings for three off-site projects, including two foreign-funded projects with a total investment of $250 million.

During the event, Jiaxing carried out a number of economic and trade investment activities, established strong relations with departments, institutions, associations such as the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, Hong Kong Fellow Association and Hong Kong Chinese Manufacturers' Association and established multiple interactive exchange and cooperation mechanisms.
