The Jiaxing Culture and Art Center consists of the Jiaxing Art Museum, Xiuzhou Library, Xiuzhou Farmer Painting Art Museum, Xiuzhou Cultural Museum, Xiuzhou Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, Xiuzhou Mass Art Museum and Xiuhu Concert Hall. It is the largest cultural facility in Jiaxing.

The Majiabang Culture Museum consists of five exhibition halls, introducing the excavation, naming and living customs of Majiabang culture and displaying many unearthed cultural relics.
Majiabang culture, named after the Majiabang ruins discovered in Jiaxing in 1959, is the earliest prehistoric culture of the Taihu Lake region. It came about after Hemudu culture (7,000 years ago) and before the Songze (6,000 to 5,300 years ago) and Liangzhu (5,300 to 4,300 years ago) cultures.
