Jiaxing's exports to the United States, Japan and South Korea have all declined to some extent, but overall exports still reached 164.53 billion yuan ($22.88 billion) with s rapid growth rate of 9.8 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year.

The city's exports to ASEAN, Latin America and Africa totaled 44.86 billion yuan, accounting for one-fourth of total exports.

To further help enterprises expand into emerging markets, the Jiaxing commerce bureau held several exhibitions or special docking meetings.

For example, a total of 127 companies from the city participated in the China (Indonesia) Trade Expo under the guidance of the Jiaxing commerce bureau, during which companies received intended orders of over $110 million.

A Jiaxing-Africa Market Exhibition Promotion Conference was also held. Companies interested in exploring markets in Africa were invited, and a batch of the latest resources on key international exhibitions in Africa were offered to them.

In addition, the commerce bureau issued the 2023 Catalogue of Key Domestic and Foreign Exhibitions Supported by Jiaxing. Thirty-seven key overseas exhibitions were shortlisted, including markets involved in the Belt and Road Initiative and RCEP.

For enterprises participating in key exhibitions or non-key exhibitions overseas, the government grants each booth up to 25,000 yuan and 15,000 yuan, respectively.
