Tongxiang's software and information service industry revenue grew by 45.3 percent year-on-year from January to June, the highest growth rate in Jiaxing and the fifth highest in Zhejiang province.

Companies such as Tongkun, Xinfengming, Zhenshi, Jujian, and Yifeng Machinery have all established software companies that have expanded significantly.

The city has formed a software industry mainly composed of application software, embedded software, and industrial software involving mainly the chemical fiber, glass fiber, and papermaking industries.

In the past five years, Tongxiang's revenue from the software and information service industry has reached 2.3 billion yuan ($320.04 million), and 26 industrial internet companies have been incubated in the city.

This year, most of these software companies have seen revenue growth rates of over 50 percent, with some even soaring to 483 percent, becoming a new driving force for the development of the city's software and information service industry.

"Tongxiang has many large-scale industrial enterprises, which is a big advantage in developing the software industry," said the person in charge of the digital industry department of the Tongxiang economy and information technology bureau.

Relying on a strong industrial foundation and the dividends of the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, the city's software and information service industry revenue is expected to grow by more than 55 percent year-on-year from January to July.
