Jiaxing Customs issued an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) certificate to Trayton Furniture (Jiaxing) Co Ltd, which is the first company in the bamboo, wood, and grass products industry in Jiaxing to obtain the certification, on Aug 2.

There are currently 24 companies in the city with AEO certification.

AEO, as certified by China Customs, allows enterprises to experience increased customs clearance efficiency and reduces trade costs in countries or regions with mutual recognition agreements.

"The company is mainly engaged in the manufacture and distribution of soft home furnishings. In recent years, due to reasons such as rising prices of raw materials and increasing trade barriers, the company's orders have been under pressure. Therefore, we applied for AEO certification and hope to use the AEO system to bring advanced management concepts to the company, improve the company's management, and enhance its competitiveness," said Zhu Ling, manager of the company's import and export department.

AEO qualifications will help companies establish more stable cooperative relations with high-quality customers in North America, added Zhu.
