Jiaxing's Haiyan county has seen stable growth in its number of market entities since the beginning of this year.

By the end of June, there were 48,938 market entities in the county, an increase of 5.12 percent year-on-year. Among them, 2,957 were established in the first half of the year, an uptick 10.87 percent year-on-year.

Among the newly established market entities, 1,092 were domestic enterprises, up 9.2 percent year-on-year, and 22 were foreign-funded enterprises, rising 37.5 percent year-on-year.

“With the improvement of people's living standards and the surge in consumption after three years of COVID-19, the wholesale, retail, accommodation, and catering industries accounted for a large proportion of the newly established market entities in Haiyan in the first half of the year, " said the head of the Haiyan market supervision bureau.

A total of 1,286 new wholesale and retail market entities were established, a rise of 12.12 percent year-on-year, while 402 new accommodation and catering market entities were established, expanding 3.45 percent year-on-year.

Haiyan's corporate enterprises have also been developing and growing consistently. In the first half of the year, corporate companies accounted for 37.4 percent of new market entities, a significant increase over the same period three years ago.
