Jiaxing's Xiuzhou district achieved remarkable results in the photovoltaic new energy industry in the first half of this year. The output value of the industry reached 19.91 billion yuan ($2.76 billion), up 51.4 percent year-on-year.

Jiaxing Canadian Solar Energy Technology Co Ltd, a leading enterprise in the photovoltaic industry, achieved an output value of 6.32 billion yuan in the first half of this year. Its output value is expected to reach 15 billion yuan by the end of this year, and its exports are expected to exceed 10 billion yuan.

Many supporting enterprises have joined Xiuzhou's photovoltaic cluster. For example, Hanerxin Solder Technology (Suzhou) Co Ltd, a supplier of solder for Jiaxing Canadian Solar Energy Technology Co Ltd, chose to build its photovoltaic solder trip factory in the district.

The factory will house 60 production lines of photovoltaic welding tape tinning machines, with an estimated annual output of about 6,000 metric tons of photovoltaic welding tape and an annual output of about 2,000 tons of comprehensive products such as solder strips, solder wires, solder balls and solder paste.

Within three years, the factory will strive to exceed 1 billion yuan in operating income and increase its tax payments by more than 50 million yuan by 2030.
