As the largest and most influential clothing and apparel expo in Asia, the autumn joint exhibition of the China International Clothing & Accessories Fair (CHIC) and the China International Knitting Expo (PH VALUE) opened at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) on Aug 28.

Puyuan town in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, the largest woolen sweater production and sales center in China, arranged for nearly 20 sweater enterprises, designers and fashion platforms to attend the exhibition.

During the three-day event, Puyuan will hold exhibitions, fashion releases, industry promotions and business docking events.

Lin Yunfeng, president of the China Knitting Industry Association, said that in recent years, Puyuan has relied on solid market foundations and complete industrial chains to attract creative people and inject more innovation into the fashion industry's development.

"With the help of the PH VALUE platform, we will further enhance the influence of Puyuan sweaters and improve the high-quality development of the fashion industry," said Zhou Yanxiang, Party chief of Puyuan town. He hopes that more fashion resources and innovative forces will come to Puyuan to promote the town's development into an "International Fashion Town".

In the first half of this year, the Puyuan woolen sweater market's turnover amounted to 65.8 billion yuan ($9.02 billion), an increase of 101 percent year-on-year, of which online turnover was 31.6 billion yuan.
