Jiaxing inland port cargo throughput hits new high

The throughput of Jiaxing inland port reached 112,000 TEUs from January to September, a year-on-year increase of 70.9 percent.
According to official statistics, in the first three quarters of this year, Jiaxing inland port completed a container throughput of 501,600 TEUs, the second highest in Zhejiang province and a year-on-year increase of 35.34 percent.
Meanwhile, the inland port completed a cargo throughput of 104.31 million metric tons, the highest in the province and a year-on-year increase of 14.7 percent. The throughput of inbound cargo and outbound cargo totaled 88.59 million tons and 15.72 million tons, respectively, up 10.71 percent and 43.93 percent year-on-year.
In September, the port's cargo throughput exceeded 14.49 million tons, setting a record high.
