You Lixing, a researcher at the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology and chairman of Futong Quantum Technology (Zhejiang) Co Ltd, a company in the Jiaxing Guigu Smart Manufacturing Town, has made the list of the world's top 2 percent of scientists by Stanford University and Elsevier. He ranked 277th in the "General Physics" subfield out of 73,580 authors.

Being selected for the list means that the scholar has a strong global influence in his research field and that he has made outstanding contributions to the development of his field.

You Lixing is a leading expert in superconducting strip photon detector (SSPD) technology and its applications. He and his team achieved international leading levels in many performance indicators and led the formulation and release of the only international standard in the SSPD field.

He also collaborated with scientists from University of Science and Technology of China and other units to develop many application achievements in the field of quantum information, such as the Jiuzhang optical quantum computing prototype.

You has published more than 220 SCI academic papers and authorized more than 40 invention patents. In 2023, he won the ESAS Award for Excellence in Applied Superconductivity from the European Society for Applied Superconductivity (ESAS) for his outstanding contributions in the field of superconducting electronics and quantum information processing. The award is selected once every two years globally, and only one scientist is selected each time.
