The 2023 Wuzhen International Education Robot Festival and ENJOY AI Global Finals opened in Wuzhen, Tongxiang, a county-level city of Jiaxing in Zhejiang province on Dec 9.

More than 15,000 young contestants from 24 countries and regions, including China, Russia, the United States, Australia, and Ethiopia, competed for the 2023 ENJOY AI global championship in the city.

During the competition, the robots showcased their skills in various tasks, such as navigating obstacles, exploring terrain, and performing rescue missions under the control of the contestants.

In the ENJOY AI Summer Sports event, the contestants used robots to simulate classic sports such as track and field, fencing, weightlifting and rings.

ENJOY AI is a global artificial intelligence promotion activity for people aged 3-22 launched and hosted by the Federation of Global Youth Artificial Intelligence. It sees the participation of 24 countries and regions, 210 cities, and more than 500,000 people every year, with more than 600 events held this year.

The global finals lasted for two days, divided into onsite and online competitions, with 10 onsite events and one online event. Ten top-ranked universities in the US, such as Johns Hopkins University, issued pre-admission notices on the spot to the top contestants.

Two forums on youth STEM education and international education robot development will also be held in Wuzhen.
