The third Rural Food Conference of Zhejiang Province recently took place in Zhoushan, where the 2024 list of the Top 10 Farmhouse Snacks of Zhejiang was unveiled, with Jiaxing's Wuzhen Dingsheng cakes proudly securing a spot.

"Dingsheng", meaning "victory," signifies good luck and happiness. This cake frequently appears at important occasions and traditional Chinese celebrations, such as the gaokao (college entrance exam) and weddings, symbolizing joy and success.

This snack boasts a glutinous texture and light fragrance that balances sweetness perfectly. The outer layer is made from finely milled rice flour, providing a smooth and uniform appearance, while the filling consists of red bean paste made from premium red beans. This combination offers a delicious and memorable flavor.
