The 48th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), also known as the Saba Saba Exhibition, recently opened to great fanfare.
This event is Tanzania's largest national trade fair and one of East Africa's most important commercial exhibitions, often dubbed Africa's "Canton Fair."
In April, the Jiaxing council for the promotion of international trade hosted a conference to introduce the Saba Saba Exhibition. Following this, local companies were encouraged to participate in the fair for the first time.
This participation provided these companies with an excellent opportunity to understand and expand into the African market.
Additionally, the companies visited several government agencies and prominent local enterprises in Tanzania, helping them develop clearer strategies for their future in the African market.
The Saba Saba Exhibition is a vital commercial gateway for East African countries like Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and South Sudan. It serves as a showcase and trading platform for global products entering the East African market.
The exhibition covers various sectors, including energy, agriculture, manufacturing, and services, reflecting Africa's diverse economic development. The exhibition has featured a "China Pavilion" for the past four years, fostering engagement and cooperation between Chinese enterprises and local market groups.
