In the first half of this year, Jiaxing's foreign trade saw significant growth. Customs statistics revealed that the import and export value of Jiaxing's goods trade reached 232.55 billion yuan ($31.96 billion), a 9.7-percent increase year-on-year.

Exports hit a record high of 177.68 billion yuan, up 12.5 percent, while imports grew by 18.5 percent, ranking second in Zhejiang province.

Yili Electromechanical, based in Jiashan county, specializes in cleaning products and exports to over 100 countries. The company has managed to boost its visibility by participating in domestic and international exhibitions, leading to significant orders, including a 30,000-unit order from a new Turkish customer. In the first half of the year, its total export value exceeded 500 million yuan, growing by more than 50 percent year-on-year.

Denaier Group, located in Pinghu, is a leading manufacturer of industrial-grade air compressors. Its products are widely used in various industries and are known for their energy-saving features.

In the first half of the year, Denaier's exports totaled 160 million yuan, with the Middle East market showing the most significant growth, at 70 percent.

The Europe Union, ASEAN, and the United States were Jiaxing's top three export markets, accounting for half of the city's total export value. Emerging markets in the Middle East, Africa, and India grew rapidly, collectively driving the city's export growth by 2 percentage points.
