Fortune Magazine recently released its 2024 Fortune China 500 list, which ranks the top Chinese companies by revenue. The methodology used is consistent with the Fortune Global 500 list and includes both publicly listed and private companies.

In 2023, the total revenue of the 500 companies on the list was $14.6 trillion, a decrease of about 3 percent compared to the previous year. The net profit amounted to $706.4 billion, down approximately 1.5 percent from the previous year. The revenue threshold for making the list this year was around $3.74 billion, an increase of about 9 percent from last year.

Zhejiang province boasted 42 enterprises on the list, with six companies from Jiaxing making the cut: Satellite Group, Tongkun Group, Huayou Cobalt, Xinfengming Group, Zhenshi Holding Group and Hoshine Silicon Industry.
