Jiaxing recently launched a new service to simplify the process for foreigners to obtain work and residence permits. Spearheaded by the city's science and technology system, the initiative allows for a single-window application process, significantly improving efficiency.

Malaysian national Wu Tiansong, with over 20 years of experience in software and motor-related work, was recruited by Zhejiang Qingxin Technology Co Ltd in Haining. He recently received his work permit and was pleasantly surprised by the efficiency of the application process in Haining, where most procedures were completed at the talent service center in Juanhu International Science and Technology City.

After obtaining his work permit, Wu also easily applied for his residence permit at the talent service center, praising the convenience and efficiency.

Jiaxing has delegated the authority to approve work permits to Haining, creating a more streamlined process. The Talent Service Center now offers comprehensive services, bringing together multiple government departments and professional service agencies to provide one-stop solutions for foreign professionals.

Having welcomed over 1,500 foreign experts in recent years, Jiaxing is eagerly promoting the new one-stop service across the city, covering Jiashan, Pinghu, Haining, and Tongxiang. The processing time for work and residence permits has been reduced from 30 to as few as five working days.
