Jiaxing fruit market shines at expo

The 2024 China International Fruit Expo opened in Shanghai on Aug 28, attracting over 300 companies from more than 30 countries. The event featured renowned brands like Zespri, Dole, and Driscoll's, and included new buyers from e-commerce, supermarkets, and logistics providers.
This year, Jiaxing Fruit Market's Haiguangxing Premium Fruit Trading Center made its debut at the expo, occupying a quarter of the exhibition space. On Aug 30, global merchants will visit the Haiguangxing center in Jiaxing to explore further business opportunities.
The expo showcased a variety of fruits, with Jiaxing's local brands like Haiguo and Yuehao drawing significant attention. Yecheng Fruit Industry, known for its durians, impressed visitors with its unique pairing of Spanish ham and Chinese apples.
Jialai Fruit Industry, specializing in premium Chinese fruits, secured a prime booth location this year, promising more cooperation opportunities. Bofa Fruit Industry, participating for the first time, received comprehensive support from the Jiaxing Fruit Market.
Known as the "No 1 Fruit Market in East China", the Jiaxing Fruit Market has become the largest fruit distribution center in the Yangtze River Delta. Last year, it generated 55.66 billion yuan ($7.84 billion) in transactions, with a trading volume of 3.89 million metric tons. Leveraging regional and port advantages, it has developed a robust imported fruit trade, establishing connections with countries around the world.
Looking ahead, the Jiaxing Fruit Market aims to continue offering favorable conditions for merchants and hosting specialized fruit exhibitions.
