Luca Gasparri, an Italian man, has been on an exciting journey since graduating from university in 2007. Eager for adventure, he moved to China, a land that seemed distant and mysterious. Over the past 17 years, Luca has lived and worked in cities like Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shaoxing, and Shanghai, and now resides in Jiaxing.
He works for Comer Industries, a multinational company specializing in construction machinery, agricultural machinery, and wind power equipment.
Frequent business trips are part of Luca's job. He has traveled extensively within the Yangtze River Delta and to cities like Beijing, Xi'an, and Chengdu. The convenience of modern transportation in China never ceases to amaze him. "Traveling has become so fast!" he said.
Before 2010, traveling from Shaoxing to Shanghai involved long bus rides. The opening of the high-speed rail line changed everything, making travel quick and efficient.
"Now, I can choose my mode of transport freely. For nearby trips, I drive; for longer distances, I take the high-speed rail or fly," Luca said. Despite the vast distances, modern transportation makes travel quick and efficient.
Luca is optimistic about Comer's future in China and confident in the support offered by China's robust industrial supply chain. His frequent trips back to Italy reveal the growing presence of Chinese products, reflecting China's advancements in design, quality, and supply chain strength.
