In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, the From Dabie Mountains to Nanhu Lake landscape painting exhibition by Ling Dalun opened at Jiaxing Library on Sept 25.

The event brought together cultural elites and art enthusiasts to celebrate and promote Chinese culture.

The exhibition will run until Oct 7.

The exhibition features 70 highly-acclaimed works by renowned landscape painter Ling, a member of the China Artists Association. Ling shared his creative journey, revealing that his most historically significant piece dates back to 1984, marking the start of his journey into the world of art.

"At over 70 years old, Jiaxing has become my second hometown. I express my love for Jiaxing through my landscape paintings," said Ling, originally from Shanghai but with ancestral roots in Huzhou. He was once a sent-down youth in Anhui. Since the age of 19, the vastness of the Dabie Mountains and the tranquility of Nanhu Lake have inspired his art.

Each of Ling's works embodies his admiration for the revolutionary history of the Dabie Mountains and the spirit of the Red Boat at Nanhu Lake. His delicate brushstrokes and rich colors showcase China's magnificent landscapes and national spirit, allowing viewers to appreciate art while feeling the depth of history and culture.
