Jiaxing rower shines at Asian Rowing Championships

At the 2024 Asian Rowing Championships in Uzbekistan, standout rower from Jiaxing, Zhejiang province Chu Jingrong teamed up with Fu Ling, Huang Shenli, and Zhang Wenxia to secure gold in the women's quadruple sculls. This victory marks Chu's debut at the Asian Championships.

Born in 2002 in Haiyan county, Jiaxing, Chu was scouted by her coach Chen Jinglei in her first year of middle school. Chen recalls her strong physical fitness and determination. Chu spent four years training at the Jiaxing Youth Sports School, quickly proving her resilience and skill.

Chu first gained attention at the 2018 Zhejiang Provincial Games, which got her into provincial training camps. Over the years, her dedication has earned her multiple accolades in national rowing championships, including gold in the women's lightweight double sculls in 2020, silver in both the lightweight double and quadruple sculls in 2022, and gold in the women's lightweight double sculls in 2023 and quadruple sculls in 2024.

Chu's recent triumph at the Asian Rowing Championships highlights her relentless pursuit of excellence that propels her forward.
