Jiaxing embraces low-altitude flight routes
On Nov 6, during the 7th China International Import Expo, Jiaxing reached a significant milestone in regional connectivity.
At the "New Chapter of Low-Altitude Economy: New Dynamics of Hongqiao Integrated Transportation Hub" seminar, a collaborative agreement was signed between the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District Administration Committee and the cities of Suzhou, Jiaxing, and Wuhu to advance the low-altitude economy.
The highlight of the expo was the official announcement of the Hongqiao International Open Hub Intercity Low-Altitude Experimental Flight Route. This new route links Hongqiao, Suzhou, Jiaxing, and Wuhu, paving the way for a comprehensive low-altitude economic corridor across Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui.
The collaboration aims to boost sectors like business travel, cultural tourism, medical rescue, and emergency response. By activating market demand and developing diverse application scenarios, the initiative seeks to create a comprehensive low-altitude economic industry value chain and drive financial growth, forming a cohesive corridor in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Key hubs in the new route include Hongqiao Panlong Tiandi, Taicang Terminal, Songjiang Helicopter Base, Kunshan Terminal, and Wuxuan Airport in Wuhu.
Jiaxing stands to benefit immensely from this initiative, making it more accessible and more integrated into the Yangtze River Delta regional economy.
