The Jiaxing Free Trade Zone was bustling with activity on Nov 12, the day after the Double 11 sales event. In the warehouses of e-commerce companies, staff handled orders by sorting and packing various imported goods, with conveyor belts running at high speeds to deliver products to households.
During Double 11, the Jiaxing Free Trade Zone increased its efficiency by introducing a cross-border return center warehouse model. This provided flexible warehousing and service guarantees for companies during peak promotional events. Popular items included beauty products, health supplements, daily necessities, and pet food.
From Oct 11 to Nov 11, Jiaxing's cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone shipped over 680,000 imported packages, averaging more than 22,000 daily. The total transaction value reached 350 million yuan ($48.31 million), covering major platforms such as Sam's Club Global, Tmall, Pinduoduo, and Xiaohongshu.
